Life As An Action Gentleman

I'm neither a good photographer or philosopher, but if you wanna hear what i have to say anyways, then follow away.

What happened to the days of etiquette and civility?

Technology has allowed us to share our voices to the masses, but we forget that each word has the value to build, or to destroy.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to communicate in this sense. Words are easily misconstrued, warped and deformed the second it leaves the grasp of its owner.

Like how a swordsman can’t take back his swords stroke, we may not have the ability to undo the confusion our words cause.

So my Tumblr family, keep it classy (and pervy guys, keep it in your pants. Ain’t nobody got time for that).

Confession Time

I’m beginning to notice that my patience, for those with no regard for courtesy, is wearing very thin.

For example, I was leaving campus and I couldn’t open the door for my lady friend because my hands were full. [billiards case in one hand and guitar in the other] Luckily though I saw someone coming from the other side. As we stood there expecting for this young lad to hold the door open, he gave me a once over and snubbed me, walking right by between us. I took it personally to say the least when I walked forward and spoke aloud, ‘Well thanks- fucking asshole.’

It’s always minute incidents such as these that make me want to break out my dueling glove and say, ‘to hell with moral elegance, it’s time to kick some ass.’

The age old battle of being polite VS being yourself

They say, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. I say if the thought of only speaking the truth frightens you, than don’t speak at all.

In society today we face the problem of being too afraid of speaking what’s on our minds, mostly for fear of undesirable attention or backlash. So in cowardice we twist our words to tip toe around truth, and in an even more idiotic move, we expect the changing of a label to do anything to change its meaning.

Political correctness and politeness are two distinctly different things. Understanding how to incorporate them both into how you act is important.

Sure you can be proper, and choose only to speak the words that may be spoken. Or you can be truthful, choosing to speak the words that should be spoken, in a politically correct and polite manner of course.

Don’t be afraid to say what’s on your mind. If you are a gentleman than speak as one, because if those in your company are truly as upstanding, then they will receive it with mutually respectable behavior.

It’s easy to feel daunted by the task of pursuing immortality, but instead of trying to make your one life last a thousand ages, it’s easier to live one thousand lives in a single age.

Got my Survival Strap. At first I didn’t know which design to choose from, but when I saw this one I didn’t even have a choice. For my grandfather, for my family, for remembrance.
